How CaPP’s Pioneer Coaches Are Landing Six-Figure Contracts and 10-Year Deals

How CaPP’s Pioneer Coaches Are Landing Six-Figure Contracts and 10-Year Deals

When Dr. Carol Parker-Walsh completed The CaPP Institute’s Advanced Professional Coach (APC) program, she walked away with something she hadn’t anticipated: a sharper coaching presence that translated directly into results. She has since landed multiple six-figure contracts with executive leadership — and credits the transformation in how she coaches for making the difference.

Parker-Walsh was part of CaPP’s first APC cohort — designated as the pioneer cohort. She says the program provided a different level and depth of coaching that not only advanced her credibility but also gave her the skills to enhance her ability to support others. After completing the program, she shifted her practice from wanting to be the expert in the room to helping her clients tap into their own wisdom.

Parker-Walsh is not the only one. Graduates of CaPP’s APC pioneer cohort are landing major contracts, earning advanced credentials, and showing up differently for their clients and in their own lives. The APC designation is the highest certification offered by The CaPP Institute™, and it is producing results that coaches say they couldn’t have achieved otherwise.

Founder and CEO Valorie Burton designed CaPP’s ICF-accredited coach training programs, including the Level 1 Coach Training Intensive (CTI) and Certified Personal and Executive Coach (CPEC) Training Program, and the Level 2 Advanced Professional Coach (APC) Program, to build skills and prepare graduates to take the next step in their coaching journey. CaPP is dedicated to bringing Master Certified Coach-level curriculum and opportunities to APC students to elevate their practice. As part of the program, students understand what each of the three levels of coaching mastery entails, giving them a clear picture of where they are and exactly how to get to where they want to go.

Dr. Maurine Kwende, another member of the pioneer cohort, came to APC after completing CaPP’s ICF-accredited Level 1 coach training programs following her introduction to Valorie Burton through Maxwell Leadership. But even with that foundation, she knew she wanted more.

That shift in perspective paid off. Dr. Kwende focuses on leaders and executive coaching, and after completing the APC program, she was offered a 10-year contract working with presidents and provosts in higher education. She credits much of that success to her growth and confidence as a coach within CaPP.

For Deborah Leben, the path to APC came after a 32-year career with the U.S. Secret Service. After being coached herself and experiencing the value of coaching firsthand, she decided to invest in her training and completed CTI, CPEC, and then APC. Her goal: to become a Master Certified Coach (MCC).

Through APC, Leben gained a deeper understanding of the positive psychology approach and began focusing on coaching the whole person rather than just addressing their day-to-day dilemmas. The results followed quickly.

Leben also leaned on the APC cohort community and the resources CaPP’s trainers recommended to prepare for the Coach Knowledge Assessment (CKA) and pursue her credential with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). And the growth didn’t stop at her practice — she says it changed how she shows up in her personal life, too.

Six-figure contracts, a 10-year partnership with higher education leaders, and an invitation to serve as a key mindset coach at a top business school; these are the milestones CaPP’s APC graduates are achieving, not despite their investment in advanced training, but because of it

Your Next Steps

Whether you’re just beginning your coaching journey or ready to advance your credentials, CaPP has a pathway for you.

Start with the Coach Training Intensive (CTI) — a three-day immersion that gives you foundational coaching skills and 16 ICF-approved training hours. From there, the six-month Certified Personal and Executive Coach (CPEC) program deepens your skills and, when paired with the Mentor Coaching Experience (MCE), equips you with the coach training hours and mentor coaching hours needed to apply for the ICF’s Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential.

Graduates who are ready to go further can continue into the Advanced Professional Coach (APC) program — CaPP’s ICF-accredited Level 2 program. APC provides an additional 94 ICF-accredited training hours, bringing your total to 179+ hours across all programs, and positions you for the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) or Master Certified Coach (MCC) credential with the ICF.

CaPP’s next APC cohort begins with orientation on September 2. Classes are held twice per week at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. Eastern. Right now, you can save $500 on the program with code EARLY500.
